Art at Sahale Learning Center
Welcome to
Tupshin: The Weavery

The Weavery is a studio and outdoor space, available for artistic retreats, workshops and classes.

Using Chinook jargon, the Weavery is called tupshin which means needle. Tupshin mamook means “to sew.”

Surrounded by 68 acres of natural beauty, the Weavery is also part of
Sahale Learning Center, and offers a rich environment to nurture the creative spirit.  Gardens, orchards, river and stream, native plant restoration, and wilderness provide numerous places for reflection and inspiration and a broad array of subject matter for the plein air artist.
