    Events 2026

    in the Goodenough Community

What makes community meaningful and fun?

The richness of life in community comes in many ways – getting together informally over a meal...celebrating a significant birthday with long-time and newfound friends...working together in a creative endeavor...collaborating in a work party...thinking deeply with others about what it means to be fully alive and connected with ourselves, each other, and the land...and more.

In the Goodenough Community, we recognize such ways to connect as expressions of living life fully and in communities of all kinds. Throughout the year we offer programs and events that help you participate in your own development, learn about relating well with other people, and discover your potential to have a good time in life and with others.

We welcome your interest and your participation, and hope that you will join us at any – or many! – of this year’s events.

Community Orientation Session Tuesday, February 3rd, 6 - 8pm via Zoom

These orientations are an opportunity for new people and old friends to learn more about how the community works, how they can plug in, and to connect with each other. Attending one is a prerequisite for any member level. No need to register. Everyone is welcome!

Sahale Care Weekend February 6, 7, 8 at Sahale

NEW! Formerly Nature Systems Weekend. As part of the Path Forward, we recognize that Sahale has deferred maintenance and deep cleaning that needs to be attended to. Here's a great way to contribute - plan to come to the 2026 Sahale Care Weekends and help get Sahale in shape for new residents and our upcoming 2026 summer event season. Pruning and weeding will still be on the agenda for hardy souls that want to work outside, as will indoor efforts like painting, repairing, and deep cleaning. We also welcome folks who can work inside to help prepare meals for our crews.

For more information, contact Laura Sweany at alwaysgrowingdesign@gmail.com.
