Financial Support for the 2024 Summer Gathering

The Goodenough Community has done its best to offer superb value for your investment in our Summer Gathering. At the same time, we recognize that there are many who would enthusiastically attend, but do not currently have the income or assets to cover the full price of attendance. If you find yourself in this category, here are some ways we can collaborate to help you attend:

Enroll three, yours is free! We’d love to get the word out far and wide about the Gathering. If you’re able to enroll three NEW attendees who pay full price, your enrollment is on us. Make sure your enrollees indicate with their enrollment that they were referred by you. Please note: "New Attendees" are those who have not attended a Goodenough summer event in the last 5 years. This offer becomes effective upon receipt of payment from your three enrollees.)

Find a Sponsor for all or part of your enrollment cost: Do you have a family member whose life was changed by being part of the Goodenough Community? Do you work for a business, institution, or foundation that would benefit from greater safety, or sensitivity, in relationships among its workers or members? Many businesses and community groups offer full or partial funding for employees/members to attend workshops from which coworkers and colleagues can benefit. Who do you know that might love to sponsor you?

Take our workshop for professional Continuing Education Credit: certain professions will happily offer continuing education credit for workshops of the caliber of ours, and your employer may even contribute to your enrollment cost. This is particularly true of service professions which succeed through the quality of relationships formed, such as education, nursing, chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, counseling, etc. If you choose this option, the Goodenough Community will provide you with the workshop learning objectives and course evaluation form typically required by the body offering the continuing education credit.

Apply for Scholarship Support: the Goodenough Community has a limited amount of funding for partial scholarships, which may include a work/trade component. Scholarship applications will be processed as received, so early application will work in your favor. If you’d like to apply for a scholarship, please fill out this form and email it not later than June 15th to goodenoughcommunity@gmail.com
